ENS Public Goods Working Group is a group of Stewards from ENS who are passionate about public goods funding. We are working with ENS and other DAOs to find the best models to fund the future of a more open, decentralized web, in which users are in control. We believe ENS is a crucial part of that puzzle, but not the only one, and we believe in helping others who want to build the same vision.

We currently offer two models for funding: Bounties and Grants.

ENS Public Good Bounties

“it would be great if this existed”

Bounties are prizes given to projects that accomplish certain goals. These are given when we identify an important problem that we believe is underfunded or under developed. These are not necessarily winner takes all races, we try to structure them to incentivize collaboration among projects and the creation of open standards at the end.

ENS Public Goods Grants

“It would be great if this keeps existing”

Grants are usually given to existing projects that have already been developed and proved their value to the community, but are struggling to figure a way to become sustainable. In order to qualify, your project must be considered making a valuable contribution to ENS or the future of the decentralized web. If your project is very specific to the ENS ecosystem, you should also consider applying to an ENS Ecossytem Grant.
